TUBES AND FINS In radiators depending on the project carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and other tubes of special alloys (bafon, brass, etc.) are used.
The tube diameter and thickness is designed according to design and corrosion conditions of the environment as choosing the most effective design by utilizing a special software.
The fin types of serpantines used in radiators are chosen according to the working conditions of the system by considering the pressure drops and afficiencies. For detailed information on fin types please have a look to our serpantine types.
DESIGN AND PRODUCTION BASICS Radiators are manufactured according to a design Project specially prepared by KONUK ISI with considering the project received from any customer as a basis and with also considering their needs.
Collectors are determined according to the fluid type, working pressure and working temperatures of the radiator being used. The fluid in the circulating heater tubes can be collected in the collectors as U type covers welded to the tubesheets, as in triangle covers, as in spherical covers or even as in connecting the heating tubes by returning bends.
In those radiators where fluide circulation is maintained by tubesheet-collector closures covers there baffles are used in order to maximize the heat transfer by circulating the fluid.
Mounting the tubes to the tubesheets is succeeded according to the material type used (welding, tube expanding or welding with slight tube expanding) |
