In these exchangers where used in hydraulic systems as oil cooling two things are considered very important:

• High heat transfer
• Low pressure losses.

Considering these two points KONUK ISI has designed KYS series shell&tube oil coolers. The product series are designed according to the desired capacity values by using special design softwares and considering the higher heat transfer and lower pressure losses. In order to have a good performance and to work properly for longer life the following points have been considered in their design and production:

• True thermal and mechanical design,
• Easy mounting and maintenance for the system being used,

• Choosing the true manufacturing methods and conditions

Other important points regarding the products are:

• In our coolers there are values for maintenance, cleaning and repairing needs,
• End covers can be removed so that the tubes can be cleaned mechanically,
• Adjustable legs for our oil coolers are supplied,

Any of the following case may cause coolers not to perform properly:

• Fouling of the heat exchanger
  
• Air or gases being mixed with the liquid
  
• Oil coolers when not used in accordance with the conditions stated in the specifications
  
• Incorrect mounting
  
• Severe corrosion conditions
  
• Of oil lossing its properties
